Can teaching inclusively be less stressful and more effective? YES! Let’s take co-enrollment of students with and without disabilities from *challenging* to *ingenious*.
We will identify “sticky points” about classroom inclusion, collaboration, and interaction, especially with students with and without disabilities, and especially while managing all things (post?) pandemic. We will come up with strategies to make teaching spaces more flexible and efficient, and a better experience for all.
We'll spend four weeks together:
First, a look into our values, & overview of a framework for increasing inclusion
Weekly 90 min zoom sessions (recorded for your convenience)
Weekly asynchronous, interactive, collaborative guides
A research-driven, iterative process to increasing classroom inclusion in higher education spaces
Coaching-informed reflection on identifying and solving inclusion "sticky points"
Social justice-oriented community (rather than the low bar of legal compliance)
A collaborative and playful space to imagine possibilities - with peers from outside of institutional power structures (and how to navigate from the inside)
